    Disconnecting a Linked Bank

    ZohaibBy Zohaib

Sometimes you want to stop a bank connection, maybe you closed the account, switched banks, or just want to manage that account manually going forward. Unlinking is straightforward and, importantly, non-destructive.

    Where to unlink

    • From the Linked banks dropdown (this replaces the Link Bank button once at least one bank is connected), choose Unlink next to the connection you want to remove.
    • Or, from that account's edit panel, use the Unlink Account button directly.

    What happens when you confirm

A confirmation dialog spells out exactly what's about to happen: the bank will stop importing new transactions going forward, but everything already in Fyscal, every transaction, every balance snapshot, stays in your ledger untouched. Nothing is deleted retroactively.

    What happens on Plaid's side

If that was the only Fyscal account tied to that particular bank login, the underlying connection is fully removed from Plaid too. If you had multiple Fyscal accounts linked through the same bank login, only the one you unlinked is affected, the others keep syncing normally.

Tip: If you change your mind later, you'll go through the same Link Bank flow again as if starting fresh, there's no "reconnect" shortcut that remembers the old connection.
