Currency & Invoicing Preferences
By ZohaibThe Preferences tab covers two related settings that shape how Fyscal handles money across different currencies: your home currency, and two optional features built on top of it, Multi-Currency and Invoicing.
Your home currency
Your home currency is the single currency every summary number in Fyscal gets converted into, your net worth, your budget totals, your reports. It's chosen when you first set up your account, and it's the reference point everything else gets measured against.
Multi-Currency
This toggle lets you track accounts and investments in currencies other than your home currency, with every value automatically converted back to your home currency wherever it's summarized. It's aimed at anyone who holds money, earns income, or invests across more than one currency.
A one-way switch
Multi-Currency comes with a real commitment: once you turn it on, a confirmation dialog warns you that it cannot be turned off afterward, and your home currency can't be changed either, at that point. There's no toggling it back or picking a new home currency later, so it's worth being sure before you confirm.
Invoicing
A separate toggle aimed specifically at freelancers who bill overseas clients in multiple currencies. Turning it on unlocks invoicing tools and views built for multi-currency client billing, letting you create and send invoices in whatever currency your client expects.
Who sees these options
Both Multi-Currency and Invoicing are gated by your subscription plan, so depending on what you're on, you may or may not see them in your Preferences tab at all.
Tip: Since enabling Multi-Currency is permanent, it's worth waiting until you actually have a foreign-currency account or investment to track, rather than turning it on just in case.
